If you can find something cheaper at Target or Walmart...go for it!
There will be a total of just 3-6 small purchases. If you already have a pair of DB's it may be even less!
The total investment for the equipment will range from about $70.00 to $150.00 depending on what you already may have and the poundage of the DB's.
Mandatory to purchase if your workouts will be performed at home.
If your workouts will be performed at a health club, you don't need to purchase anything other than the measuring tape for body measurements and a digital scale.
1. Set of 5 Resistance Bands with handles + a door anchor: (it must have a door anchor)
2. Select 2-3 Pair of DB's To Start: (2 sets of varying weight would be essential as legs require more weight.)
Pair of 5 lb. DB:
Pair of 8 lb. DB:
Pair of 10 lb. DB:
Pair of 12 lb. DB:
Pair of 15 lb. DB:
Pair of 20 lb. DB:
NOTE: Most women start off by purchasing a pair of 5-8 pound DB's for their "light DB" for exercises that usually involve their arms (sometimes 3 lbs.)
For exercises that involve bigger muscle groups like the chest, back and especially the legs...
most women purchase a second pair of 10, 12 or 15 lb DB's. (some may require a set of 20 lb. DB's if you are strong and have experience with weights.)
4. Tape Measure for Measuring 5 Specific Areas of Your Body On a Monthly Basis.
5. Digital Scale: I have seen this for as little as $5.00 at a store called "Five Below" so any digital scale will do. This one is between $15.00-$20.00
THE 4 ITEMS BELOW ARE NOT MANDATORY BUT HIGHLY SUGGESTED:
1. Amazon Extra Thick Exercise Mat:
2. Foam Balance Pad
The pad is great protection for the knees while performing floor exercises like booty band moves and modified pushups.
3. Set of 3 Booty Bands:
4. Exercise Ball: (image of which size ball you should purchase based on height is below)
