Calorie Controlled Cocktail Options

Some drink. Some don't. 

But if you do from time to time (like me) you want to select the cocktails with the least total calories and sugar content. 

Here is a list of cocktails with the least amount of sugar most containing less than 200 calories! 

Just remember the calories you consume from alcohol does take away from the total calories you can consume from food for that particular day.

Vodka Soda

Calories: Approximately 96 calories
Macronutrient breakdown (approximate):
Protein: 0 grams
Carbs: 0 grams
Fat: 0 grams

Instructions:
Fill a glass with ice.
Pour 1.5 ounces (44 ml) of vodka over the ice.
Top up the glass with soda water (club soda).
Optionally, add a squeeze of fresh lime or lemon juice for extra flavor.
Stir gently and garnish with a slice of lime or lemon.

Vodka and Diet Tonic

Calories: Approximately 100 calories
Macronutrient breakdown (approximate):
Protein: 0 grams
Carbs: 0 grams
Fat: 0 grams

Instructions:
Fill a glass with ice.
Pour 1.5 ounces (44 ml) of vodka over the ice.
Add diet tonic water to fill the glass.
Optionally, add a splash of fresh lime or lemon juice.
Stir gently and garnish with a lime or lemon wedge.

Vodka Cranberry

Calories: Approximately 160 calories

Instructions:
Fill a glass with ice.
Pour 1.5 ounces (44 ml) of vodka over the ice.
Add 3 ounces (88 ml) of cranberry juice (choose unsweetened or a lower-calorie version if available).
Stir well to mix the ingredients.
Optionally, garnish with a twist of lime or orange.

Vodka Lemon Martini - (my personal favorite and I don't use anything but fresh lemon and Vodka and I love it. I add a sugar rim as well)

Calories: Approximately 160 calories
Macronutrient breakdown (approximate):

Carbs: 5 grams
Fat: 0 grams

Instructions:
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
Pour 2 ounces (60 ml) of vodka and 1 ounce (30 ml) of freshly squeezed lemon juice into the shaker.
Optionally, add a splash of sugar-free simple syrup or a sugar substitute for sweetness.
Shake well until chilled.
Strain the mixture into a chilled martini glass.
Garnish with a lemon twist or a wheel.

Vodka Espresso Martini

Calories: Approximately 150 calories

Protein: 0 grams
Carbs: 9 grams
Fat: 0 grams

Instructions:
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
Pour 1.5 ounces (44 ml) of vodka, 1 ounce (30 ml) of coffee liqueur (e.g., Kahlúa), and 1 shot (30 ml) of freshly brewed espresso into the shaker.
Optionally, add a sugar substitute for sweetness if desired.
Shake well until chilled and frothy.
Strain the mixture into a chilled martini glass.
Optionally, sprinkle a few coffee beans on top for decoration.

Vodka Watermelon Martini

Calories: Approximately 150 calories

Instructions:
In a blender, add 1 cup (150 grams) of fresh watermelon chunks.
Blend until smooth and strain the juice through a fine mesh strainer to remove any pulp or seeds.

Pour 1.5 ounces (44 ml) of vodka and 2 ounces (60 ml) of fresh watermelon juice into the shaker.
Optionally, add a splash of lime juice for tanginess and a sugar substitute for sweetness.

Strain the mixture into a chilled martini glass.
Garnish with a small slice of watermelon or a lime wheel.


Vodka Cucumber Martini

Calories: Approximately 140 calories

Instructions:
In a cocktail shaker, muddle a few slices of fresh cucumber (about 4-5 slices) to release the flavor.

Vodka Grapefruit Martini (another personal favorite and I avoid the triple sec)

Instructions:
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.

Optionally, add a sugar substitute for sweetness if desired.
Shake well until chilled.
Strain the mixture into a chilled martini glass.
Garnish with a twist of grapefruit peel or a slice of grapefruit.

Vodka Raspberry Martini

Calories: Approximately 150 calories

Instructions:

Instructions:

Skinny Margarita (personal fav! I love you tequila!!!)

Watermelon Margarita

Ingredients:
1.5 ounces (44 ml) tequila
1/2 cup cucumber chunks (peeled and seeds removed)

1/2 ounce (15 ml) triple sec
1 cup ice cubes
Sugar substitute (optional, to taste)
Salt (for rimming the glass, optional)
Cucumber slices and lime wedges, for garnish

Instructions:
In a blender, add the tequila, cucumber chunks, jalapeño pepper, lime juice, triple sec, and ice cubes.
Optionally, add a sugar substitute if you prefer a sweeter taste. Start with a small amount and adjust to your desired sweetness.
